UAW threatens extra strikes at Stellantis over promise to re-open manufacturing unit


The United Automotive Staff (UAW) union has introduced that it could launch strikes towards multi-national automaker and Dodge-Chrysler father or mother Stellantis, alleging that the corporate has failed to carry up its finish of a contract that promised the re-opening of a former manufacturing unit.

On Monday, the UAW threatened to launch strikes towards Stellantis, as a result of automaker trying to return on guarantees to re-open a manufacturing unit it closed in Belvidere, Illinois. The information, introduced in a press launch, comes after the UAW efficiently gained file pay will increase at Ford, Common Motors (GM), and Stellantis final fall, the latter contract of which included the promise to re-launch the plant.

  • UAW Native 685 (Kokomo Transmission, Kokomo, IN)
  • UAW Native 1166 (Kokomo Casting, Kokomo, IN)
